The Denver Fire Department Foundation was founded in 2007 by a group of dedicated business and community leaders. Its goal is to give our firefighters a better chance of returning home to their families at the end of the day. The foundation works to promote wellness for firefighters, whose job stress and exposure to smoke and environmental hazards put them at particular risk for heart disease and cardiopulmonary problems. The foundation also is dedicated to public safety and to ensuring that all people will be more likely to survive a life-threatening fire.
